The film actress Ida Kravanja, known by her screen name Ita Rina, was born on 7 July 1907 in Divača and rose to fame in Europe and the world in the late 1920s and early 1930s. Upon its foundation, one of the priority tasks that the Slovenian Cinematheque set itself was to research the life and work of this actress, who made a name for herself and earned a place in the history of European cinema. In 1997, upon the ninetieth anniversary of Ita Rina’s birth, the permanent exhibition dedicated to our first film star was mounted at the Museum of Slovenian Film Actors in Divača. The museum also offers the screening of The Girl with Marbles (1997), a forty-minute documentary fiction film directed by Silvan Furlan, which larger groups can watch in the hall.
