To accompany the first comprehensive retrospective of Swedish actress and director Mai Zetterling at the Slovenian Cinematheque, an exhibition of photographs from the films featured in the retrospective will be on display in the Silvan Furlan Hall. The selection of photographs highlights her acting career through a number of successful Swedish films, while the greater part of the exhibition – like the retrospective itself – is devoted to her work as a director, regarded as one of the boldest and most provocative filmmakers of her time, with a keen sensitivity to the position of women.
